Way back in January, when I wrote about the things I would like to focus on this year, I mentioned starting a balcony garden. Although Canada has been less than cooperative with the weather this year, it is finally warm enough to plant some things outside!
Day 0: here we go!
So far I’ve planted two Earl of Edgecombe tomato plants and one Chinese five colour pepper. I also seeded some French breakfast radishes, some little gem cos lettuce, some arugula, and some jewel blend nasturtiums.
I planted one tomato with the lettuce and arugula in the biggest pot, one tomato with some nasturtiums, and the pepper plant with the radishes.
I used a ready-made soilless potting mix and plan on feeding with a plant food once weekly.
I am still waiting for my herbs to arrive. Hoping for some basil, mojito mint (that’s what it’s called!), sage, rosemary, and thyme.
Next update if I get anything sprouting!
